Our client on the outskirts of Woodbridge Suffolk, is looking for an additional experienced Part-Time Dispenser to work within a rural GP practice. The ideal candidates will hold a recognised qualification of minimum NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing.
Duties will include:
Dispensing Acute Prescriptions, Dispensing Repeat Prescriptions, ordering drugs from suppliers, check delivery notes with drugs delivered, collect prescription charges, disposal of returned unused medicines, generate prescriptions as required, liaise with Doctors, nurses and hospital staff when necessary. Deal with telephone and general enquiries regarding medication.
Person Spec:
Previous experience of Dispensing in a GP practice is desirable, although training may be given for the right applicant. Applicants should have good experience using Microsoft Office software skills and previous experience of dealing with the public/patients. You will possess proven numeracy skills and have good communication skills. An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality is essential. You will be able to work in a changing environment and under pressure. You will have the ability to prioritise, self-motivate and organise own workload.
